Geoff has experienced the entertainment business from all sides: in music, film, television, writing, performing and producing. He brings the skills he has learned over a diverse career together to tell a story. Whether it is in advertising, a film or video project, or as a songwriter and music producer, Geoff understands what makes a concept work from different perspectives making him a valuable writer, producer or collaborator in the creative process.
Performing
While not the primary focus of his career today, being a session singer and performer were his entree into the entertainment business. Understanding what it is like to be on the “other side of the glass” as a studio singer or “in front of the camera” as an actor helped Geoff discover the mechanics of a great performance and how to get the most out of his and other people’s talents in a supportive professional environment.

Writing
The foundation of every project is the writing. If the idea is not fully developed, written and rewritten to the highest standards, the odds of successfully communicating with whatever audience you are trying to reach are greatly reduced. Geoff’s skills as a writer were honed by dissecting the successful work of others. Working in Hollywood watching masters of their craft in composing and screenwriting perfect their work in the pressure cooker of network television and national advertising campaigns, Geoff learned great writing looks easy but never is.
With an MFA in Creative Writing (Screenwriting emphasis) along with 2 years of study “writing on your feet” at the famed Second City improvisation theater in Los Angeles, Geoff has continued to refine his abilities and stretch his creative muscles. Whether it is in music, film, or advertising, the goal is to tell a story. Understanding the structure of a story applies regardless of whether it is a :30 second commercial, a musical score, a song or a feature film.

Producing/Directing
Producing/Directing is assembling all the elements necessary to complete the vision of any project. If it is a client’s vision, then it is imperative to know how to listen and interpret the client’s wishes and then put their vision in a form that fulfills their goals while adding a creative spark that heightens the message. If it is a collaborative artistic project, then it is imperative to listen to your collaborators and the assembled talent to weave their contributions into the framework created by the writer to make the idea jump off the page.
